Back in March 2022, a writer friend introduced me to 3D art and rendering, and ever since, I’ve been exploring it, teaching myself the intricacies of producing good renders such as posing, lighting, and post work. In December 2022, I decided it was time to share what I accomplished, so I started posting images I created to social media.
This post collects all the pieces from the two month period, and I intend for it to be a start of a recurring series for all those who are too busy to keep up with social media posts. If you’d rather see them as they come, new images are posted on my Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Bluesky, Threads, and Mastodon every Wednesday.

Trouble Brewing

It’s true that I rarely stray from doing fantasy and sci-fi art, but every now and then, I like to try something else. With “Trouble Brewing” I was hoping to get the feel of an old movie or a photograph. Did I succeed?
Knight’s Duty

This was one of my quick creations. I needed a mental break from creating art for Sanguine Scenario, so I put something together to test the new environment. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out. What do you think?
Finally, His Perfect Circle

This was taking another break from creating art for Sanguine Scenario, playing around with camera settings and lights. For me, such creative breaks are great for learning new things.
Old Witch at Work

This was a quick render to test a new model I got. She was a young woman, but I morphed her into an old one, because I felt it suited her more and gave her much more personality. I wonder what kind of stories I could tell about her…
What the Actual…?!

April’s Fools was perfect time to share the piece of 3d art made as a joke. When it comes to armors for females, it’s hard to get one without high heels. This one actually had proper boots, but I couldn’t resist the joke, and “What the Actual…?!” was created.
Forbidden Fruit

I couldn’t resist sharing another funny render. The title should explain it all…
Earth Day

April 22 was the Earth Day, so I had a nature-themed fantasy image. I had fun with it, and it was also a chance to try some new 3d models I got just because they’re so cute.
Knight’s Rage

I swear I do 3d art when I have a clear idea what I want to make, but I also immensely enjoy letting the process guide me. Pick elements of the image and put them together, add lighting… This is one of such pieces, and as always, it was fun to experiment and practice new things.
