Joanna’s 3D Art: May & June 2026

Back in March 2022, a writer friend introduced me to 3D art and rendering, and ever since, I’ve been exploring it, teaching myself the intricacies of producing good renders such as posing, lighting, and post work. In December 2022, I decided it was time to share what I accomplished, so I started posting images I created to social media.

This post collects all the pieces from the two month period, and I intend for it to be a start of a recurring series for all those who are too busy to keep up with social media posts. If you’d rather see them as they come, new images are posted on my FacebookInstagramX (Twitter)BlueskyThreads, and Mastodon every Wednesday.

You can view all the posts by browsing the 3D Art category.

The Sun of Her Homeworld

An old woman in a sci-fi setting

After long years of journeying, she’s finally back. She can’t see the sun of her homeworld anymore, but she can feel its warmth.
I rarely do portraits, but I was playing around with creating an older female, so here it is.

The Knight

A woman and a dragon.

Sometimes, I prepare a 3d scene, and it becomes the final image. Sometimes, though, it’s just a start. The woman and the dragon were 3d models. The rest is 2d digital artwork.

Bunny Girl

Cute bunny girl

Just like my writing, my art focuses mostly on SFF genres. But every now and then, I want to try something different. Something… cute? And then I end up with a piece like this one.

The Thief

A thief in the rain at night

This piece of art was a bit of a struggle. I ended up reposing the model several times, changing the angle of the city view, and doing many minor adjustments. But this is what making art is: trying things and working until you’re satisfied… or just done.

A Troll is Coming

A troll in a misty wood.

This piece was created from… sadness. I’ve been feeling sad, so I wanted to make art to make me feel better. A moody and atmospheric art. And I also bought a new troll, so I wanted to try him out. That’s it. That’s the story.

Summer Day Nap

Summertime nap

This piece of 3D art was inspired by summer. I love naps, especially in the afternoon sun… Just don’t get them often.

Gothic Fae

Gothic fae

June 24 was an International Faerie Day, so I shared related art! This one came to be the usual way: by trying to test all the things I got.

I hope you enjoyed this collection. Which one is your favorite? And remember, new images are posted on my FacebookInstagramX (Twitter)BlueskyThreads, and Mastodon every Wednesday.
