If you try to limit your social media time or simply missed my postings, here are collected pictures from November and December. Enjoy!
Work vs. Writing
Back when I had a regular 9-5 type of job, I knew I’d be able to write very day (some unexpected circumstances now and then aside).
Being a freelancer means that my schedule is all over the place, and my Grand Writing Plans (ok, they aren’t so grand, buuut…) got slightly derailed.
Difficult Balance
My November felt like balancing on a tightrope, trying to do all the things. I had a lot of work assignments, and writing needed to be done too. And then there was, of course, Fallout 76 I wanted play.
But let’s be honest. If this picture was closer to reality, the “work” side would have already pulled me off balance.
Crawling Out
I was very busy back in November. In December it was getting better, but I was still less around than I’d have liked to. If you’re wondering why, this picture should explain it.
Dangerous Detox
One day, I accidentally skipped my morning cup of tea. When I realized it, I was already suffering from withdrawal symptoms, so I figured I might as well go through a detox, and “reset” my caffeine addiction.
This picture was created after very sad 5 days. Overall, I lasted two weeks before getting back to “the habit”.
Happy Holidays
The last Wordwitch of the year was that with wishes to all my readers, followers, and fans: whether you celebrate anything or not, and no matter what you celebrate, I hope this festive season will be the time you are hoping it to be – quiet and relaxing, maybe with a good book, or full of laughter and family gatherings, or in any other way you think is the best.
If you’d like to be up to date with this series, you can head over to my Facebook Page every Tuesday or check Twitter for #thewordwitch hashtag. You can also browse other posts from the series.
Completely identify with the one about the endless pit of all the work that needs to get done… Really lovely pictures – very relatable!
Thank you for stopping by! (and apologies for a late response – January ate me whole)
At the moment, I’m foolishly believing I might be seeing the actual bottom of that endless pit, buuut… we both know how it goes.
I’m glad you enjoyed the pictures – they appear weekly on my Twitter and Facebook, and monthly – here, if you want to have a look at other ones.
I have a similar issue with balancing “all those other things” and writing. Think I’ll do better in 2019 though! Happy New Year.
Balancing truly is an art, isn’t it?
How are you doing so far in 2019? 🙂
I can definitely relate to Crawling Out. That’s how I felt after I got sick a couple weeks before Christmas and had to put just about everything except Christmas preparations on hold. I still feel like I’m crawling out now! XD
Sometimes it feels like I’m endlessly crawling out – but I hope you actually have made it out and now are walking steadily toward your goals (Iceland is coming, right?).
I’ll be around your blog soon for another bout of catch-up. Maybe this year I’ll actually get to “the present”? 😉
I’m sensing a work overload theme here 😀
Yeah… T.T
