Back in March 2022, a writer friend introduced me to 3D art and rendering, and ever since, I’ve been exploring it, teaching myself the intricacies of producing good renders such as posing, lighting, and post work. In December 2022, I decided it was time to share what I accomplished, so I started posting images I created to social media.
This post collects all the pieces from the two month period, and I intend for it to be a start of a recurring series for all those who are too busy to keep up with social media posts. If you’d rather see them as they come, new images are posted on my Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Bluesky, Threads, and Mastodon every Wednesday.

Both months mean “spooky season” to me, so for a few years now I’ve been collecting spooky renders to share during September and October. I hope you enjoy them, and they bring a bit of spookiness back!
Something Sinister

There isn’t much to say about this image except that, again, I was testing models I bought.
Space Marine

While I’m not much into horror, I do enjoy horror-ish science fiction, so it’s no wonder that I’d make something inspired by it: a brave space marine exploring places where danger lurks.
They’re Here!

Not all my renders are balanced and elegant. Sometimes, I go crazy with colors and composition, and that probably is horror in and of itself, but since I was still continuing my spooky season theme with this postapocalyptic monster attack image, so I suppose it was a double horror day.
Dark Knight

t’s one of the images where I was simply testing new models (character, armor), and then playing with light and postwork, learning new things along the way.
Have a Sip

I was testing a creepy figure, so a witch was an obvious choice. Then, I went a bit overboard with the colors…
His Army

“Testing models” is a common theme in my 3D journey. I buy them, so I want to try them out and put them together in unexpected ways. A demon leading his army sounds like appropriately creepy render for a Halloween season, don’t you think?
Cornered

This render was fun. I was saving it for Halloween because of its theme, but I actually made it for an April Fools contest in which we had to use those little adorable creatures… that might not be as cute as everyone thinks, and this is what I came up with.
Fallen Angel

Can you believe originally this 3D render was quite orange? I often choose bold colors, so I can have fun with them in post-work. This demonic guy looks like he’s straight from a horror story, so I’ve been saving sharing him for the Halloween season.
Mummy

This mummy is one of my more recent creations that started as, yes, you guessed it, testing the model I bought. But it didn’t mean I couldn’t put it in a dynamic pose (and posing that pendant was a challenge in and of itself) and have fun with post-work, right?
New Spells – bonus Halloween image

Since Halloween didn’t fall on a Wednesday, I shared additional spooky render with Halloween wishes, so I’ll include it here as well.

I hope you enjoyed this collection. Which one is your favorite? And remember, new images are posted on my Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), Bluesky, Threads, and Mastodon every Wednesday.
