The Wordwitch: A Writer’s Life in Pictures – March

The Wordwitch

The Wordwitch (which got its name thanks to Myk Pilgrim) is a series of drawings I started back in January 2017. At first, it was one image, but soon more ideas followed and my notebook filled with more pictures.

These drawings appear weekly on Tuesdays, on social media under the #thewordwitch hashtag on Twitter and on my Facebook page, and they are also available as monthly roundup posts.

I Can Do It!

March seems to be very busy and full of half-expected twists, but my current attitude is as in the picture below.
I hope it lasts, and I’ll have everything done, writing-wise and lifewise.
What are your goals for this month? How are you doing?

Moving

The picture says it all. I’ve been quiet on social media in March, because I was moving. We knew the move was likely going to happen for a while now, but we didn’t know the date. And when it finally got settled, we two weeks to not only sort out everything and move. (I’ll tell you more about it next week.)

Inq and Melfka

This week’s Wordwitch is a belated celebration of my wedding anniversary with That Guy.

For ten years now, so long before we married, Inq has been my greatest supporter, cheering me on, encouraging me, and fighting my self-doubt and my bad English grammar.

I wouldn’t be where I am if not for his efforts, so he deserves a place in the series.

Confidence Rollercoaster

In case you’re wondering what it is like to be a writer, here’s quite an accurate depiction of it.

Does it apply to your life or profession as well?

If you’d like to be up to date with this series, you can head over to my Facebook Page every Tuesday or check Twitter for #thewordwitch hashtag. You can also browse other posts from the series.

Joanna Maciejewska

I am so with you on that confidence ride! But at least we have company, right?

I know you’d rather not be there, but well, I had a free seat! 😉

Much obliged, I’ll remember to bring the drinks next time, just to take the edge off 😀

I love the pictures, Joanna, they are so smart and clever:). What a lovely talent to have and I hope you are very happy in your new home.

Thank you, Sara! 🙂 We’re doing well so far: the apartment is nicer than what we had, Inq is happy in his new job, and we’re slowly getting back on track with other things.

Being happy in work is crucial – we all spend FAR too long working for it to be merely tolerated, so I’m delighted that he loves his work:)

This is such a sweet collection this month, Joanna. I don’t think I can pick a favorite… though I’m tempted to pick the one of you and Inq just because. But I like the Maybe and Confidence Rollercoaster drawings, too, since I can related to them.

Hope you’re enjoying your new home! Virginia must be a big change from Arizona, especially climate-wise.

I’m glad you’re enjoying them, Sara. When I draw them, I hope other writers will be able to relate to them, so it’s extra joy for me when you do!
